Rainy days and Fridays

Published by rosie at 8:16 pm under Gardening Edit This

What a dreary day. Even though I love the rain I was glad to finally get home tonight. It was such a gloomy day at work and then I almost fell asleep on the ride home. It’s a good thing I’m not driving! Carlton dropped me at Lorraines and I totally forgot to go to the post office. Oh well, I’ll walk down in the morning.

Lorraine and I went to Hometown Buffet for supper and then to Walmart, Staples and Stop & Shop. We didn’t get back until after 8 p.m. While it was a pleasant time, I am sooooo exhausted. There go my knitting plans and I doubt I’ll even be watching tv.

I did pick up garlic though. How did I possibly forget it when I went grocery shopping yesterday? After all, garlic is a mainstay of my life, just life coffee. I can’t live without them!! Especially garlic — I remember a time when I was eating so much garlic I had to cut back big time. I was told that I always had a garlicky smell to me even after a shower! LOLOL!!!!!!!! Hey, what can I say? I’m Italian and proud of it!! But I do tend to panic if I’m out and I used the last of it last night.

My plants that I started from seeds are actually growing! I did basil and some sort of little red hot pepper that Giovanni at work had given me and I dried out a few years ago. I took the seeds out and planted them in a pot and now there’s little baby basil plants and little baby pepper plants. Anthony took them and transplanted them into individual little pots for me and will probably plant them in the garden. He’s not getting the concept that they can also grow indoors in pots and that I do want a few for that! I’ll have to tell him again tomorrow. But I’m so proud that they actually are growing. :)
