Going to college!

Published by rosie under Uncategorized Edit This

I’ve taken the dive and applied to Ashford University. I emailed with the enrollment advisor and she said that I qualify for complete financial aid — which will cover everything except books. Everything. Even the application fee was covered.

But I’m beginning to think you need a college degree to complete the financials. I did everything. I’ve been sitting here for hours filling out form after form. I get all the way to the last form which is choosing a lender. I finish filling out the whole thing and go to sign it electronically with my pin. It says it’s incorrect. It can’t be incorrect since I have it written down and it’s right in front of me. So I go back to the pin site — did I mention I have the pin application confirmation in front of me too? — and IT says it doesn’t exist. *sigh* So I now have an email into my enrollment adviser. Geez! I was almost home free!

Anyway I’ll be taking all the classes online. They’re accelerated. But when it comes time for graduation, Arlene (who is also doing this) and I will be traveling out to Iowa to get our degree at the actual university. I, who never took a class beyond high school, am going for a Bachelor degree in business administration. These courses should help in the business Lorraine and I are starting. Plus it’s just for my own benefit — I will be a college grad!

I’m very excited about this!!
